Susan McKeon
Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Sighthound Specialist in England, United Kingdom
I am a UK-based, experienced Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) and dog trainer who specialises in working with rescue dogs, especially sighthounds.
Widely recognised as an expert in greyhound and sighthound behaviour, I work with sighthound clients across the UK and beyond. I am also a writer and contributor for dog training and behaviour advice, both online and in print, and am experienced in working with broadcast media.
Currently, I work for Dogs Trust (the UK's leading dog welfare charity) as Community Clinical Animal Behaviour Manager. I manage a team of Community Clinical Animal Behaviourists, who provide accessible and affordable behaviour advice and support to UK dog owners.
As well as being a behaviourist and dog trainer, I am a qualified, award-winning marketing communications professional with over 27 years’ experience working with a wide range of businesses, across the charity, public and not-for-profit sectors, and private industry.
I lecture on marketing and business-related topics for dog trainers, and am also a regular speaker at conferences and workshops on dog training and behaviour topics. I have presented at national and international conferences about greyhound behaviour and welfare, post-racing.
When time allows, I'm a bit of a have-a-go (iPhone) photographer, amateur ceramicist/air-dry clay enthusiast, and weekend baker.
